Your location. Your solar time.
Civil time keeps a region on one schedule. Solar time follows the Sun at your longitude, with a seasonal correction. The two clocks can tell a different story — even at the same moment.
An offline core
Solar calculations work offline with saved or manually entered coordinates. GPS, city search and the map are optional ways to choose a place.
A face of your own
Choose analog or digital time and a bundled visual skin. Adjust the display to keep the parts that matter to you in view.

Begin with a place.
Choose a location
Use saved or manual coordinates for an offline start. Optionally grant foreground location access for GPS, or use online city search and the map.
Read the difference
Compare solar time with your civil clock. Solar noon is approximately when the Sun crosses your local meridian; it need not be 12:00 on your civil clock.
Make it yours
Open Settings to choose a skin and adjust the clock display. Solar events and daylight estimates are approximate; terrain, weather and atmospheric effects can change what you observe.
05 / Your place stays yours
An offline clock.
An optional connection.
Chrono Lampetia has no telemetry backend. Coordinates and preferences are stored locally. You can use saved or manually entered coordinates without GPS, online search or map tiles. Android system or cloud backups may include app data according to your device settings. The app has no encrypted backup or sync feature.
GPS & permissions
GPS is optional and uses foreground fine location on Android. Network access supports online features. Android widget support also declares background, reboot and alarm permissions; operating-system battery rules can delay refreshes.
City search
Manual city searches are sent to Nominatim. That service receives the search text and your network IP address. Searching is optional; typing coordinates avoids this request.
The map
Visible map tiles are requested from OpenStreetMap. Tile requests reveal the viewed area and your network IP address to the tile service. You can hide the map and keep calculating offline.
This website & downloads
This is a static website with no JavaScript, analytics or embedded map. Hosting and download providers may receive normal connection information, including your IP address, when you visit or download.
